Summary

South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital (SIVUH) led research into the burden of treatment in various skin diseases. Burden of treatment is defined as the workload of healthcare experienced by those with chronic conditions and the consequences on well-being. A high burden of treatment results in patients becoming stressed and unable to cope with treatment plans and poorer outcomes.
