UK coronavirus alert returns to level 4

I write this Comment just as the UK coronavirus alert has been increased from 3 back to 4 – meaning that transmission of cases is high and/or rising exponentially. The health services are under significant pressure, and it is difficult to keep pace with demand. In reality, our health services have been under pressure for months and, with a relatively small bed base, it is less resilient to winter pressures. I am sure you will find Anthony Raharja’s article on psoriasis and COVID-19 a helpful summary of practical experience during the early part of the pandemic.
